From 3D printed pieces, to spray painted second-hand leather jackets, to tops made out of melted straws and a vest made out of a backpack- these pieces were outstanding. Not to mention, they sold for some of the highest amounts ever- a true victory for art-wear and upcycled fashion!!!

What makes this group of artists special to me, however, is their diversity. In departing from previous tradition, it was important to me to showcase an equal number of both male and female artists. Even though it was only guys who submitted the call for artists survey (s/o to my boys though!!! I love you guys for it!!) I decided to go through the people I follow and reach out to the girls who had inspired my own desire to create. They all said yes, and that- my friends- was one of the most encouraging stages of this process.

As I took on the role of styling, I made a visual guide for each actor (also pictured) to help curate the vision for each piece. Not only did the actors & I all contribute our own pieces to round out these looks, but I also had the good fortune of pulling extra items from FAM Collective- my personal company that champions emerging upcycle artists. Im so grateful for all of these artists as well, who trusted me to use their pieces for styling :’) To be able to sort these looks entirely from pre-owned or otherwise handmade art-wear was a subtle detail that made me feel like I succeeded beyond measure in creating these final outfits 🥹
