PURPOSE​

​

Before officially launching F.A.M., we conducted a successful beta test to validate our concept of bridging the gap between artists and consumers. We invited local musicians to our space to experience the unique 1-of-1 artwear collection firsthand.

The results were overwhelmingly positive. Our beta testers spent hours immersed in the collection, selecting pieces that resonated with their personal style. They were so enthusiastic about the clothing that they incorporated it into their music video shoot, further validating the appeal of our curated artwear.

This successful pilot not only confirmed the demand for our unique offering but also demonstrated the willingness of consumers to pay a premium for high-quality, one-of-a-kind pieces.

BACKGROUND​

 

F.A.M. was founded by Sumedhaa Kothari: an upcycle artist herself with a degree in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley and previous career in tech at both Google and Stripe. It was created initially to explore the validity of an access gap between consumers and undiscovered artists / novel artwear. It now exists as an iterative solution to this growing issue.​
