YEAR 1 / WEEK 37: it’s giving Diwali??? 🪔✨

It turns out polling people for their vote on what to make is a VERY BAD idea for a people pleaser and henceforth I struggled so much in deciding how to design this (I wanted to make you all happy!!!) 🤦‍♀️😂 even though the most popular vote was for a dress, second place was a long sleeve top (third was a tiny crop) so I settled on just doing a tiny top with detachable sleeves and I’m stoked with how this set came out!! The ribbon is the focus, but I lined the bra with fabric from a blue bridesmaids dress and love the contrast. And I used up almost ALL scraps of ribbon on the detachable sleeves, which gave it such them great dimension!!! Also- side note- the jewel toned velvet reminds me of some beautiful sari blouses and that feels very on brand for Diwali 🤍 happy Diwali everyone!!!
